Playtest: First Roun...

Mike’s post this week was is an overview of things in the Beta so far, which I already went over in way too much detail, so I’m just going to do a short post on my least favorite bit of the Beta: the little “For an old-school game, play without Theme and Background”...

New Super Dungeons a...

Of course the internet is all about D&D Next today and the public beta. I already posted a little too much about it, but I’ve got to come back to it. Why? Because Adam Koebel said a very smart thing (I know, I’m as surprised as you are): The parallel here is like, Basic...

D&D Next Public Beta

Well, the D&D Next public beta starts today. I’ve been pouring over the docs and I figured I’d post some thoughts on what I’ve seen so far. So, how does a higher-level character (i.e. one with more HP) differ from a low level one? Prowess, skill, and significance. The standout...
