#23 Cornerstone
Today’s 30 Character Challenge character is The Cornerstone created by Vito Delsante.
Personality: Bombastic Icon
The Cornerstone may have hit the ceiling of wrestling and gone on to superheroics, but he’s still an entertainer at heart. Every fight with The Cornerstone is like a championship bought with plenty of trash talk and signature moves.
Powers:
- The Rolling Stone (Training, Wrestling) d8
- Jack Suede (Training, Wrestling) d8
- Announcer’s Voice (Innate, Rallying) d6
- Stage Falls (Training, Deception) d6
- Championship Belt (Gear, Technology) d4
The Rolling Stone is of course The Cornerstone’s signature move. Everyone from wrestlers like The Ram to supervillains such as The Fanatic to space gods fear the Rolling Stone. It’s a complete unknown!
Jack Suede, The Cornerstone’s old partner, is still a wrestler, but he’s been known to step outside of the ring to tag-team the occasional mad scientist. Even when he doesn’t go head-to-head with the villains, he’s still got powerful connections and a big bankroll.
Always the entertainer, The Cornerstone’s voice works in his favor. Somehow when he says “here comes the Rolling Stone” it doesn’t give away his enemies a chance to counter, it just makes the rolling blows that much worse.
And when the bad guys look like they have the upper hand? Well, that was just a well timed stage fall, The Cornerstone always gets up for more. Sure, he may have to pull a high-tech device from his championship belt to win, but he’s never down for the count.

Possibly the character that’s closest to my heart…since he’s based on me!
I like your description here, Sage. Seems like you had fun with this one.
