Today at GenCon – DW Module S2: Baston’s Country House

Today at GenCon I’ll be running Dungeon World Module S2: Baston’s Country House.

Baston Scurlock was once a respected noble, but after falling out of favor with the Prince he retired to the country side, giving up on city life. He took with him a mummified hand of potent magic power, which he hid somewhere in the basement. The mansion has since fallen into disrepair and the basement has been overtaken by warring bands of kobolds and troglodytes. A local wizard has offered a reward for the hand, claiming that he needs it to save the world. Can you make your way through the subterranean battleground, find the hand, and escape unharmed?

If you’re interested in playing, twitter @olde_fortran.

If you’re not familiar with Dungeon World, it’s Dungeons and Dragons viewed through the lens of Vincent Baker’s Apocalypse World. It’s a fantastic game, and great for pick up dungeon crawls.

  • Just watched A Better Life. Wonderful movie, highly recommended. I felt like it was heavily inspired by The Bicycle Thieves. 20 hours ago
  • Just figured out the next game I want to play. Y: The Last Man-inspired Apocalypse World. 22 hours ago
  • Well, @twylightdawns just found the big bad guy by getting drunk with some goblins, since that's one of her class features. 1 day ago
