Living in the Future

This is actually kind of a big deal: the new DC Comics iPad app has, as of now, a comic for sale that won’t be available in print until tomorrow.

So far digital comics have pretty much lagged at least a few months, if not years, behind current releases. DC just put up Justice League: Generation Lost #4 on sale for the cover price ($2.99) several hours before it’s on store shelves.

As someone who’s kind of fed up with storing single issues, but likes to keep up with the current comic scene, I’m pretty interested to see how this plays out. I’m seriously considering switching over to the digital version of the rest of the series, which I’ve been reading in print since #1.
